A new drink made from seaweed that is made with algae is being touted as a “miracle cure” for cancer.
Alani Energy Drink, named after the algae in the drink, was introduced to the United States in 2011, according to the Associated Press.
It is now sold in more than 150 countries and is widely used by people who have been diagnosed with breast, colon and prostate cancer.
It contains 1,400mg of vitamin C and about 2.8 grams of fiber per serving.
Alcohol and coffee have been used for thousands of years to treat pain and fever.
Scientists have shown that eating seafood can increase the body’s energy reserves and help to fight fatigue.
Algae is used to make algal protein powder.
The drink is currently available in more and more restaurants, bars and grocery stores in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
